This text says what PubDesk does, what it does not do, and what each side can expect of the other. It is written to be read — if any part is unclear, write to [email protected] and we will rewrite it.

1Who provides the service

PubDesk is operated by Pubdesk, trade name of Sound Riffs Produção Ltda., registered under CNPJ 59.653.769/0001-51, based in Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil.

For anything in this document: [email protected].

2What PubDesk is

A management system for music publishers: it processes royalty statements, works out the per-writer split, keeps the catalog of works, stores contracts and gives the publisher's songwriters a portal of their own.

Each publisher gets a separate environment, with its own address and brand. One publisher's data never passes through another's.

3The 5-day trial

The trial lasts 5 days, asks for no card and does not turn into a subscription on its own.

When it ends the tools stop — access to your data does not. You keep seeing and exporting everything you had already worked out. That is deliberate: holding someone's data as a sales lever is not business, it is a hostage.

4Subscription and payment

There is a single plan, with every feature included. The price varies with the billing cycle contracted (quarterly, half-yearly or yearly) and is agreed before you sign up.

Billing is handled by a payment platform we contract. Your card details are typed into it, not into PubDesk — we never receive or store them.

The subscription renews for the contracted cycle until you ask to cancel. Cancelling stops the following renewals; it does not refund the current cycle, which has already been delivered.

5Your data is yours

The statements, works, writers, contracts and reports you upload or generate in PubDesk belong to you.

While the account exists you can export all of it at any time, from the system's own screens.

If the subscription ends, you have 90 days to export before the environment is removed. We email you before removing anything.

6What PubDesk is not

We are not a collective management organisation, we do not collect royalties and we do not represent your publishing company before third parties. The system organises, calculates and files — you negotiate, register and sign.

The figures the system produces depend on what goes into it. A wrong statement produces a wrong report, and checking it is yours.

7Availability and maintenance

We work to keep the system up without interruption, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability.

Planned maintenance is announced in advance inside the system itself.

8Misuse

We may suspend access, with notice, for use that harms the service for other customers, attempts to reach someone else's environment, or use for unlawful purposes.

Suspension for non-payment follows the same rule as the end of the trial: the tools stop and access to your data remains.

9Changes to this text

If we change anything material we will tell you by email and inside the system at least 30 days in advance. A change that does not favour you entitles you to end the subscription without penalty within that period.

10Law and jurisdiction

Brazilian law applies. The courts of Belo Horizonte, MG are chosen for anything a conversation cannot settle — which is how we prefer to settle things.

PubDesk

The management system for music publishers: royalties, catalog, contracts and a songwriter portal.
